Yes, and usually I peel it if the recipe specifies doing so. If it
doesn't, then usually I leave the peel on.

Blame it on the great cloud of electronic memory that's floating above
us now. But, it is fun to re-read things from time to time. Years ago
when we were in AZ and got on to Fido, I printed off a copy of Kathy
Pitts' write up of Smurf Bread. Steve wasn't reading Cooking at the time
and I didn't want to have to go back and find it to show him. I came
across the print out some years later; we both had a good laugh again
over it. Don't know if I still have the print out or if it vanished in
one of our moves/paper purges.

I think so, but the pills are big enough that even if it weren't in the
instructions, I'd want a buffer with them.

I did this once, using a recipe from "Cooks Illustrated" magazine. It
was good; I saw the copy (I usually copy recipes on the printer so I can
hang them over the stove--easier for me to follow) the other day and
thought I should try it again as we both liked it.
