There is that. She got the thing within a year of when he
died; it has been a major consolation to her. Many things
have changed. For one, we don't have to watch Penn State
football any more.

A few hours ago someone sent me a link to something that
advertised itself as a public service announcement called
"Boobs," and I clicked eagerly on it only to find "an error
has occurred." It was probably PG rated, as the Website was
Huffington Post.

When I actually watch, it's on the plane (if I get upgraded
and get tv for free), in a hotel, or at Annie's house.

Today I got to see Bourdain's New Orleans episode on Cook's
Tour - it's a dozen years old, but he looks about the same -
perhaps he grayed his hair then and browns it now. Less
profanity; otherwise it's about the same.

Yes - I think most five year olds would be better as rendang.

Double standarded at least: they never made any bones about
their belief that she was better and smarter than all other
children combined. My parents used to claim the same thing
about me ... in public. At home I was lazy, fat, and good
for nothing. Why do people do this?

Dondeng (dendeng)
cat: Indonesian, main, rendang
servings: 4

100 g butter or margarine
1 c julienned green peppers
1/2 c slivered almonds
1 c diced onion
10 garlic cloves
1/2 lemon, zest of
salt, pepper
500 mL buttermilk
- [M suggests coconut milk]
4 beef steaks
4 Tb oil
2 md onions, sliced

Saute the peppers, almonds, diced onion, garlic, and
lemon zest. Season. Deglaze with buttermilk and cook to
a creamy sauce.

Trim the steaks, then cut them into thin strips. Saute
in oil with lemon, stirring constantly.

Combine the sauce and the cooked meat. Heat through but
do not boil.

Pork can be used.
