I'm thinking that when I next go for lunch with my friend Donna, that
may be the best choice of places to go... there's a little sit-down
place she likes a lot, as do I...  ;)

Oh, they do that various places in Rochester, at times... various
neighborhoods have their festivals, sometimes closing off streets,
sometimes (like our neighborhood) appropriating a small park...  I've
just not been getting to them like I used to.

It helps remember exact details when it's pegged to some other memorable
occurance, after all..  ;)  I think I first tried tripe and kidneys
during the time in Syracuse when Richard encouraged me to try cooking
them... fortunately I didn't ruin them so badly that I'd never try
again... ;)  In fact, both came out fairly decently..  ;)  Squid bodies
stuffed and in tomato sauce were probably in the early years here in
this house... I don't remember experimenting with them before that.  All
three were things I'd never tried before anywhere...  Various Asian
cuisines, though, I really have no idea when/where the first time was
for any of them... except that Yang's was responsible for many of the
first tastes of things along the way...  ;)

And apparently partly because your body settled back in, and partly
because you were able to get it back to where it could... being aware is
a useful thing now... :)

Or, at the very least... "yuck... oh well, hope it doesn't get any
worse..."  especially places where you don't know of any viable better
alternatives...  :)
