==============
Hi Ruth,

-> -> -> I understand. It's a mom thing.

-> ->  RH> Definitely.  It's what moms do.

-> -> Been there, done that as I'm sure my girls have done so also.

->  RH> I think it's endemic to moms.

-> So your sister does it too? (G)

 RH> Before she ever had her one kid.(LOL)

Practicing on her sister?

-> -> Somebody will benefit from it. My next QoV quilt will have 81
 RH> different

-> RH> It has that sparkly stuff on it. I barely use it for Christmas
 RH> crafts and not otherwise. A friend loves the stuff.

-> I've not used it much but have seen some projects where it really makes
-> things pop.

 RH> It's still not my thing. OTOH I did get an African dress cut up for
 RH> fabric tonight. Red, blue and yellow. Bright isn't the word, but
 RH> oddly I had
 RH> another piece of the same fabric and made some random squares out of
 RH> it, but
 RH> could never finish them off into a quilt. Now I can.

That'll be an interesting one. Interesting, how you got the same fabric
twice.

-> RH> If you don't I've got everything, seems like. I even found some
-> RH> flannel in my basement I didn't remember owning.

-> So make yourself a a flannel shirt! I'm planning to sew up a few shirts
-> for myself (cut out a while ago) but no flannel ones in this batch. I
-> need to get more white flannel for a new baby quilt for a spring baby.

 RH> Not my style or color - yellow with embroidred flowers. It's pretty
 RH> me by any stretch. I have plenty of other flannel too, but no pure
 RH> white.

Sounds like it might go into a baby quilt. I'll be making a trip to
JoAnn's for the white flannel closer to the time I need it.

-> RH> We also tend to stick to the LCD stuff these days - lowest common
-> RH> denominator. I'm bringing brownies. No nuts.

-> My kind of brownies! I cooked up some collards today, did it inside

 RH> I did however use up some blue frosting with sparkles that I had

Turn your tongue blue frosting? Think Michael would like it?

 RH> sitting in the fridge. It was left over from my niece's birthday,
 RH> commercial stuff that can't spoil. It was Halloween and you have to
 RH> have at least one piece of weird-looking food on Halloween. Blue
 RH> sparkles worked fine.

Sounds logical. One of the other ladies brought in some orange frosted
cookies to our QoV group meeting on Tuesday. Not quite as garish as blue
sparkles but still pretty wild.

-> instead of on the grill. Steve said it didn't smell too bad, could have
-> been worse. I asked him if a combo of durian and limburger would be
-> worse--his reaction was a prolonged ugh, uh, (generally yuck).

 RH> Yeah well. Limburger is a little pungent; I don't want to think about
 RH> what it would smell like hot. Durian I can deal with.

I just used those two as the strongest food smells I could come up with
and see what the reaction would be.

-> Hopefully. He seems to be doing a lot better, even without the brace
-> now. He's hoping he can get the go ahead to wear it even less than he
-> does now.

 RH> It's got to be driving him nuts, provided the Army didn't do that
 RH> already.

He's sorta nuts but not as far gone as I am. He's more left brain
oriented so doesn't have the genes for far out nuts.

 RH> Once I don't have any free food coupons hanging around for other
 RH> places.

I think I've seen TR coupons from time to time. Check on line, might get
some there. They are worth the time and money.

-> RH> Yeah. It'll be the weird stuff that gets you.

-> True, and some of it was weird.

 RH> They stole the bacon and the pepperoni?(LOL)

Yes, and the fake but not the real pearls.

-> -> them out. When the girls told us which store they'd been bought at,
 RH> we weren't surprised.

-> RH> Can't say that's ever happened to me. I've gotten some onions that
-> RH> rotted pretty quickly though.

> And that's not fun, but beats rotten potatoes.

 RH> Until you put your finger through one.

Vidalia type or regular? The former seem to go bad faster.

Catch you later,
Ruth
