Actually, we would much rather that the stores state a real price
instead of the BOGO advertisements.  BOGO at store regular price is
often not really that great a buy.  Example -- our buy point on boneless
skinless chicken breasts is $2.  Normal retail price is well more than
$4, perhaps close to $5.  So a BOGO sale is not as good as a fixed price
$2 sale.  In addition, if the weights are variable, you only get the
lesser valued package for free.

      Title: Mint Chocolate Bottom Bars*

      Yield: 24 Bars

      6 oz Cream cheese, softened
      5 tb White sugar
      1    Extra Large Egg
      1 ts Vanilla
    1/4 ts Unsifted bleached cake flour
        pn Salt

MMMMM----------------------------BARS---------------------------------
    2/3 c  Plus
      3 tb Unsifted bleached cake flour
    1/4 ts Baking soda
    1/4 ts Salt
    1/2 c  Mint flavored chocolate
           Chips
  2 1/2 oz (2 1/2 squares) unsweetened
           Chocolate, melted and
           Cooled
    3/4 c  Sugar
      3 tb Firmly packed
           Light brown sugar
      2    Extra large eggs
      1 ts Peppermint extract
 
  Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Spray the inside of a 9 x 9 x 2 inch
  baking pan with nonstick cooking oil spray.
  
  Prepare topping by beating cream cheese and sugar in a standing
  mixture on med high speed for two minutes.  On low speed, blend in
  the egg, vanilla, flour and salt.  Scrape down the sides of the bowl
  to keep the btter even textured.  Set aside.
  
  To make the bars, whisk the flour, baking soda and salt in a small
  mixing bowl.  With one teaspoon of the flour mixture in a separate
  little bowl, toss with the mint chocolate chips.
  
  In a medium size bowl, whisk the melted chocolate and butter together;
  beat in both sugars, the eggs and the peppermint extract until
  thoroughly combined.  Add the flour mixture and stir to form a
  batter, mixing until all the flour is absorbed  Then stir in the
  floured chocolate chips.
  
  Spread the chocolate batter in the prepared pan.  Then spoon the cream
  cheese batter on the top and using the tip of a table knife, gently
  swirl through the two mixtures to marbelize.
  
  Bake in preheated oven for 20 to 30 minutes ur until just set.  Cool
  completely.  Cut the cake in quarters, then cut each wuarter into six
  bars.  Refrigerate the bars in an air tight container.
  
  Per Bar: 147 cal; 2 gm protein, 16 gm carbo; 9 gm fat, 44 mg chol, 5
  gm sat fat, 76 sodium.
