Here's another that I've not tried - but, which uses instant hot 
chocolate mix:

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

      Title: Gateau Mexican
 Categories: Cakes, Desserts, Chocolate, Chilies, Fruits
      Yield: 1 cake

      3 oz Plain flour
        pn Salt
      2 oz Butter
  2 1/2 oz Cocoa mix
    1/2 ts Ground cayenne
      1 c  Water
      4 sm Eggs
  4 1/2 oz Caster sugar
           Chocolate butter cream
           Apricot jam glaze
           Chocolate fondant icing

  Heat oven at 350øF/175øC/Gas Mark 4

  Grease the tin.

  In a bowl, sift the flour with salt.

  On low heat, warm the butter to soften.

  In a saucepan, mix cocoa and chile with water, slowly cook
  until it forms a thick cream and cool.

  Beat eggs and add slowly add sugar and beat over a pan of
  hot water till thick.

  Take pan off the heat and continue beating till cool and
  mix in the prepared cocoa.

  With a metal spoon gently fold in two-thirds of the flour
  into the cocoa mix, melted butter and the remaining flour.

  Turn the out the cake mix into the tin and place in oven
  for about 40 minutes.

  Cool and slice in two.

  Sandwich the cake slices with chocolate butter cream.

  Brush with a thin layer of apricot jam glaze.

  Ice and before it sets, marble with a little white royal
  icing.

  Slice and serve with sprinkled chocolate.
