Gail often watches shows on one of the cable channels that features
people who are house hunting in various areas.  It is amazing the
differences in what one can get for what price.  A studio condo in
Hawaii might be the same as your dream house above in other places.
Trouble is that you will not pick a place to live solely on what the
relative real estate prices are, but will be a the mercy of what the
supply and demand dictates.
 
I know that we would never find a house with a kitchen like ours for
anything that we could afford.  That is why we had it built.

When Bryan and Nancy came back from Germany they moved into military
housing for a little while.  The first thing that was done was to
document all of the defects.  That probably came in handy when they
cleared out to move into the house that they bought.
