OK, Steve didn't have a disk replacement. The disk was taken out and a
"bridge" built between the two vertabrae, with a cage of filler bone.
It's a lot more than I'd want to go thru but he only needed it done in
one area. Disk replacment doesn't sound like a picnic either.

Sorry, that was a term we've used but shouldn't. I just can't see
spending money we don't have on a very slim chance I might win more.

Trouble is, most people don't know when to stop buying tickets and spend
money they can ill afford to spend on them. Sounds like you respect your
stopping point.

I know, yesterday was one of those days I hit the ground running and
didn't stop until bed time. Went to the farmer's market (got spinach and
a couple of small cabbages), Sharing Shop, a couple of craftfair/bake
sales (made sure my pumpkin bars were out at one) and Lowe's (foods)
before lunch. After lunch was sewing, choir practice, putting together a
broccoli salad and helping Steve with a cake icing, then supper. After
supper was back in the sewing room for a bit, Fido, and Skype with
Rachel & kids. The broccoli salad was for Life Group today; I pretty
much filled a 5 1/2 quart bowl and didn't bring any home. Steve made
some Italian garlic bread (a bit came home) and a pumpkin cake with
cream cheese icing (none came home) for the meal. A friend made Chicken
Alfredo Rigatoni as the entree.

That's leaning toward more authentic. (G) I'd probably leave out or cut
back on the sugar & salt and use yellow cornmeal.
