Don't know if that would be an issue but don't want to risk the chance.
Besides, even with the ramp, getting Mom in and out of the house is a
long process--and if the weather is bad, it's not a smart idea.

That's what Dad had to do when Mom was home so he could get the paper,
mail, perscriptions, etc. He'd wait until the cleaning/aide lady would
come in, then head out. Grocery shopping was a hit/miss basis too.

I suspect the Catskills had snow. Steve's folks talked with their one
daughter (in western NY) a short time ago; she said it was 0 this
morning. My folks were probably below 0 then. Have to make sure Dad is
bundled up good before he goes out today.

Update--Mom had just gotten home when we called, late morning. Don't
know how many folks it took to get her there or the logistics involved
but did talk to her. (She sounded very vague, could only respond in
generalities, nothing specific so doubt she knew it was us on the
phone.) My sister, her significant other, son, my brother, female
cleaning lady/aide (and probably Dad's aide) were all there. Had some
ice and about an inch of snow, temps at about 0. Hopefully Mom will go
back without too much of a problem and Dad will continue to accept the
fact it's for the best she not live at home.
