That's not why I post them. Blabbermouth awards mean very little to me. 
I probably won't finish out this year with chile-head recipes in any 
event.
 
However, I have been gathering recipes from Saveur, Epicurious, Gay Bay 
Gazette (San Francisco Chronicle), BH+G, etc. which will get popped into
Cooking and Home Cooking ten at a time.   Bv)=

If you like peaches the Peaches and Cream version is decent. I'm 
allergic to bananananas besides not caring for them. I guess I'll never 
qualify as a successful Elvis impersonator.

      Title: Elvis Presley's Fried Peanut Butter & Banana Sandwich
 Categories: Five, Sandwiches, Nuts, Fruits, Breads
      Yield: 1 Sammich
 
      1 sm Ripe banana
      2 sl White bread
      3 tb Peanut butter
      2 tb Butter
 
  In a small bowl, mash to banana with the back of a spoon.
  Toast the bread lightly. Spread the peanut butter on one
  slice of toast and the mashed banana on the other. Fry the
  sandwich in melted butter until each side is golden brown.
  
  Cut diagonally and serve hot.
  
  NOTE: Elvis loved his "peanut butter and nanner" sammiches.
  At a hefty 36 g rams of fat, they probably helped do him in.
