It was an early essay at "Reality (snork) TV"

Well, no wonder. Here's my version of a Fra Diavolo (for which I make NO 
claim of authenticity)

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

      Title: My Fra Diavolo
 Categories: Sauces, Vegetables, Chilies, Herbs
      Yield: 1 serving

      2 tb Olive oil
      3 cl Garlic; chopped
     16 oz Can peeled plum tomatoes;
           - seeded, diced
      1 lg Peperoncini; seeded, diced
           +=OR=+
           BIG pinch hot pepper flakes
      1 tb fresh Italian parsley;
           - chopped
    1/2 ts Salt
      1 ts Dried oregano; crumbled
      1 ts Dried basil

  In a saute pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add
  the garlic and saute until it turns golden brown. (Do not
  let the garlic burn or it will taste bitter.) Lower the
  heat. Cook for about 3 minutes. Add the tomatoes and the
  peperoncini and continue to cook for 10 minutes more.

  After a David Ruggerio recipe I watched being prepared
  on the Food Network before David started manipulating
  patron's credit cards and walking on his wedding tackle
  in the spiked golf shoes.

  To make this a nice pasta sauce add 8 - 12 oz bulk sweet
  Italian Sausage, cooked and mostly drained. And a half
  cup or so grated Parmesan or Grana Padano.
