Watched a few of the old RR show on Saturday mornings, none of the old
B-westerns. We didn't get a tv until I was in 4th grade, then only one
channel for 2-3 years, then another was added. My parents finally got
cable when I was in college and had even less time to watch it. Didn't
get into too much, now it's even less. I know the name, but not much
about (except from your cut & paste) about the guy.

I've seen it in the Mexican sections of stores, especially one we went
to when we were living in AZ. Not been sure enough of the quality to buy
it, and my Spanish isn't good enough to read that label.

Basically, yes but IIRC, mine uses a cup and a half of fat.

Now that we're not buying raw milk directly from a farmer, I don't have
a source of good buttermilk. I'd let the cream rise a day or so, skim it
and then make butter, use the cream for ice cream or other goodies.
Buttermilk left from butter making went into pancakes, biscuits, etc.
