  Agreed.  They are coming through Iran, so in Iran, they know this
will happen as you say.    Yes, I do remember about the strange
alliance between USSR, USA and England, and other western countrys
to fight Hitler.   Bad or good,it did get rid of Hitler.   If this
had not happened, I wonder what might have happened?  After the war
instead of what happened it might have been interesting to see where
we all might be if East and West hadn't really trusted each other.

  Aah the history of Afghanistan.   All I see there is people caught
between armys getting killed, and then that big non-nuke the US
drops from time to time..it kills everything on the surface ,totally
no concern it seems of rural people.

The Taliban have the advantage of the terrain.  Brings back memorys of
the Kyber Pass, where all but one British soldier was killed, and
the only reason was to allow him to go back and tell his higher ups
that this is what happened.   Of course then there is the USSR 
trip in there...that was a disaster for those kids.

  Yes. And now he has elections coming up, and it looks like the public
has turned against him...but the mess he leaves will still have to
be cleaned up..and peace restored..and I wish they would open up talks.

   When all talks break down and there is no other way...then rebels
start doing terrorist acts.

   Hamas is now elected. They must start to show some diplomacy.
Hamas true doesn't want to recognize Israel...and the same the other
way.   Most people I am sure, worldwide just want to go about their
daily lives, and enjoy their familys etc ... The problem I see in
the west is a hidden agenda, and that gets things going like the 911
at the World Trade Center.  But then if you say something like I
say here you are branded as someone to watch.  Oh well...

   Closed eyes, and silly demands as to why Israel will not offered
to reconize Palestine.   And if they agree, something always happens.

   Yes. We also missed some great opportunitys to create trust.

   Aah the Crusades... and a lot more, as well not keeping our word
helped create the mistrust.   And I see your point too about an
ancient dream of a Jewish state.   The only thing is, that they better
drop the ancients sayings and live in the nowadays...or sooner or
later they will be fighting their last battle. The west can not
