  A few years back, and I can not say NEVER or CANNOT it was done on
Amateur Radio Packet, and carried here in North America.   Sorry I
have no examples, it just didn't make any sense to me at the time,
but I think it was neat.

   My computor for packet in those days was DOS and today XP, yet 
packet has remained the same, and the fellow in the UK posting the
message did get replys in Esperanto, as they did, and are carying
on a conversation.

  Who ever said anyone is able to really speak English. Actual
English is spoken only in a small part of the UK,  the rest was
mixing Normandy-French, and since then the melting pot has stolen
from everywhere.

   I can not speak for them, but did observe the markings of slaves
in South America, and some were different suggesting a difference in
tribal origin.

   Checkout the local Ham Radio Club Alexander. They might have a 
BBS there, and it will have the Esperanto message postings.  Enjoy.
