Ya, know, Bob.  It seems I lost my copy of that paper.  Would you be so
kind as to point out any paragraphs, sentences, words or even
individual letters in this document that--supposedly--explain your
rationale for employing IBD to determine relatedness?  That
shouldn't be too hard for you.  And if you need any assistance from
anybody here, myself foremost on the list, please feel free to ask.
I'm never too busy to help somebody along who is making an honest
effort to get a better understanding of evolutionary theory.

Ah, it's in quantitative genetics.  Why didn't you tell us about
this earlier?  Tell us about it?  Why not just explain it to us
and be done with it?  Is it a secret?

Why don't you tell us how quantitative genetics are applicable
to this question, afterall, "quantitative genetics," is a
pretty broad category.

Might it have something to do with Mendel?  Tell us about it.  Tell us
how Mendel's divisions (recessive, dominant) have provided the guiding
light for your belief that IBD determines relatedness, a belief that
survives despite the fact that you are unable to explain your rationale
thereof.

Gee, Bob, I really feel for you having such a difficult time figuring
this one out.  Maybe you ought to take a break for a while and just
ponder on it.  It's not like the question is going to go away.  This
question ain't goin away any time soon.  That's for sure.
