Yes, he is.  He's the opitomy of the STUBBORN MALE who refused to stay off it
at the start as long as he was supposed to but I warned the Doc he would be
that way and Don admitted it too.  (Got the Doc to make a strong
recommendation I stay home that first day and would have said 2 days except I
told'em wasnt possible the second day as I was Section Leader for the ship and
had duty).

I'll digress slightly on that 'section leader' as many reading arent military
and have no background in navy.  I'm the primary person for one of our 6
sections.  Everyone has 24 hour duty every 6 days (cant go home, stand watches
etc).  The Officers who stand 'Command Duty Officer' run a slightly longer
than 6 section rotation so never know the people in each section the same as
the section leader does.  They tell me what they need if it's special, I make
it happen.  I handle all the normal routine too.  If there is an emergency
like a fire or something, thats *my job* not the Officers.  I just give them
status.
I have 175 people under me on a duty day.  I may or may not (depending on leave
etc) have an assistant.  My next duty day, i have no assistant.  On a duty
day,I am lucky to get 3 hours sleep.  I count it an outstanding duty day if i
can get 5 hours sleep.  I spend all day running around looking for problems
and fixing them.

Ok, back to thread.  Yeah.  Imagine the only 'grocery store' being about the
size of 3 7-11's tossed together for a size marker in mind.  Thats so well
managed here, we win awards.  But yes, sometimes a thing is just flat out not
available that week (or month) and some stuff just isnt stocked at all due to
space.  They do really well though with requests if you do not get too brand
specific on them.

Yup, just about.  He's hoping they take off the current round-bottom one at the
least and put on one that is easier to walk in (he wants treds-in-rubber added
at the least).  That dasterdly Doc made one that even though he can now put
pressure on the foot, is rounded enough to make that hard to do <grin>.

Hehe yup!  Definately!

You have no idea!  Here, cheapest cuts are normally 4$ and up.  Ground beef is
often 3.25$ and can be 3.75$.  We even have one called '60% lean' when it gets
really pricy to give an option just a hair under 3$.

We've all stocked up on beef while this lasts.
