While you may have a point or two in the above that is supposition (based on
that I can't find anything as to the mechanics of the case,) You're right.
I know it, you know it and most anyone familiar with US Law knows it.

The point I was trying make is either (a) Going over their heads or (b) just
an issue they do not want to let go of as the truth does not fit their agenda
(which is basically what you said)

Sometimes, it's like arguing with a stump..
