It was a MB with those wider than normal, EU plates, white with black
numbers and letters. There was a blue field to the left on that plate, but
nothing readable from my vantage point.

I have good eyes and wear glasses that were just recently prescribed.

Frankly, I don't think it would have mattered. :o) What I couldn't see
before has been cleared up by a new pair of glasses.
