Shows I actually *read* what you write ... also (I hate doing 
this!) the nation is "Chile", the chow is "chili" ... however, 
since both have the same pronunciation it really doesn't matter.

It *wasn't* formally a "war", it was officially a "UN Police 
Action".  That was back when the UN had teeth (provided by the 
U.S. of course) so those *times* are referred to as "wartime" 
even though there was no war.

Certainly!  Hitler *knew* the Americans were the greatest threat.  
That tied up many of his best troops.  Hitler, you see, was in  
WWI as a Corporal so he saw first-hand how entry of the Americans 
won WWI for the allies.  He didn't want that to take place with 
WWI.  He also recalled how Russia folded during WWI so he had 
little fear of them.

If you only *realized* how funny that reads!!!  Of course it *is* 
a Europe-centered belief so I realize why you are forced to 
believe it.  The US, being populated by people world-wide, lacks 
the narrow parochiality of Europe and has a global view of life 
on this planet.
