From the aggressive nature I've seen of those fish, yours doesn't seem
normal. They'll eat anything small enough to fit in his mouth.

Nahhh. They're lovers. I had mine with some Neon Tetras for a while. I
actually inherited two of them with this house. One has gone to meet his
maker.

Well, maybe to another male Betta.

Anything that can swim faster than they do. Neons didn't have a problem
staying out of his way. The Tinfoils pay him heed when they're in his
nesting territory, but he doesn't bother them otherwise. Without pectoral
fins and a rigid tail, he's really like a Model T Ford when it comes to
competing with the Corvettes of the water.
