I agree with you here.  Against our U.S. foreign policy, but yet for the 
sake of discussion, I would whole heartedly support a Kurdish state.

As for Turkey -- again you are correct...!  They participated -- and 
evidence seems to point to  the possibility that they collaborated with the 
Iraqi regime to help diminish the numbers of Kurdish.

Iran?  I've previously written this, but you may not have read it --  
Provided the opportunity, Iran would most undoubtedly employ a nuclear 
weapon into western culture.  They consider all of Europe and America to be 
westerners.  Europe is (obviously) a closer target. It would make better 
tactical sense for them to launch a weapon against some location in Europe 
or even perhaps Israel (considerably closer).

It's really sad to say this, and I certainly don't mean to insult (this 
time), but if Iran does attack Europe with some type of nuclear weapon, I 
think it's likely the leaders in Europe (including the entire UN general 
assembly) would ask the U.S. to help.  Even if MDV doesn't like it <g>.

THAT would be a conflict with limited success.  The Persians have never been 
conquered, and given the topography, it would be a feat more difficult than 
Afghanistan.  I believe it would take less lives to just take eliminate the 
leadership facilities (in the middle of the day), the entire city of Tehran, 
all the military bases, IADs, ASCM batteries, and call it miller time.
