Yes, I can see how limiting the dimension of arrays to two, can be a handicap.

HTML as far as I can tell with my limited knowledge does not even support
variables...

One of my problems is that there is a lot about HTML to be found on the net but
it is all "beginners stuff". What I want but still haven't found is the full
descriprion of the language.

Well they do have a lot of similarities.  But as there are also a lot of
differences that isn't much of a help.

German and French are not in the same language group, so indeed that would be
no help.

It is. F.e. The German word for "sea" is "Meer". In Dutch 'meer" means "lake".
The Geraman word for "lake" is "See". In Dutch "zee" means "sea".

No, I did not know that. How confusing....

Indeed.

In Dutch we do it too:

It is also a nightmare for spell checker designers.

It is about the rear fog light that is compulsory since the beginning of thius
year. All light trailers must have one. I moutded one below the licence plate
as I did not want to mount it on the removable back panel and there was no
other place. For protection I welded a bracket that protects it when it tops
over backwards.

They are optimised for good readability.

The speedtouch is an adsl modem/router. This particular series has a design
flow that makes it stop working just after a year.

It gets too hot and some electrolitic condensors are labelled and operated at a
voltage that is too close to the edge. That combined with too high a
temperature makes them fail after about a year of continues operation.

Replacing the electrolitic condensors and drilling some holes for better
ventilation solves the problem. The replacements are bigger than the originals
so they had to be mounted in a creative way.
