    For someone who hasn't read the fidonews in a while.... What's "Rule
Number 8"? And EP1 = "Echo Policy 1"?

    Why does it not suprise me that Z2 would come up with a "Silly Rule"
to prevent someone else from taking their place in a message area....

   The Moderator's generally the person who is Elisted in the echo List.
   Granted, there have been some echo's that where dieing, and
   individuals would take them over to become a moderator, weather they
   read the echo's or not.... (Granted, there's ways of teaching them a
   lesson, but....)  I once taught a NEC a similiar lesson, when he
   added every single echomail area that I requested to his BBS,
   advertising to users that they carried the most echomail areas
   of all the BBS's around.... (While complaining that the other
   BBS's where carrying too many echo's and needed to cut back on
   the number of echo's they carried.... So, I just started requesting
   10-20 echo's each night, then dropping them the next night and
requesting another 10-20 the next night.... He added all the echo's
   I added up till he had 3-4 pages of echo's, which was pushing his
    software's limits (RemoteAccess).... Then he decided he wouldn't
   add every single echo I carried.... Shortly afterwards, we had 
   a new NC/NEC election, because the current one didn't do what
   everyone expected (changed NC's every 3 months because the present
   NC didn't add/update node entries the instant they where added....
   Policies got changed with the wind-direction....)  False Power
   causes some people to desire to wear hats they have no real 
   desire to wear and no knowladge of how to perform the task
   required for wearing the hat in the first place....

    There's a simple way of fixing this....  Anyone ever look in the 
    echo list lately?

check out the descriptions...  Ever wonder why so many echo's related to
BIBLE discussion?  If it really is a Z2 vs Z1,Z3-6 argument, or if
everyone's ticked off with the present moderator, just create a new
echo, have 2-3 people request it from different regions and get it on
the backbone, then more sysop's will request it from their ZEC and we'll
have something like:

HAM
HAM_RADIO
HAM_RADIO2
HAM_RAIDEEOH

etc. in the echo list....  If you can't find a new moderator, have
what's his name, the dude that goes picking up all the echo's that die
off just to be able to brag about being the moderator of the most
echomail areas.... He probably would have the time to put his name on
the echo list and post a set of rules, then ignore the echo for a
while....

   For the record, I've been requesting that we cut Z2 from the nodelist
   ever since that ridicalous dude who is now the Z2EC started making
   the ridacalous rules for how to turn Fidonet into a Monarchy with him
   the supreme ruler.  Anyone wanting to cut Z2 from the echomail areas
   is fine with me, as from what I've seen no one in Zone2 cares to show
   any respect for Fidonet Policy, echo mail rules, or any of the other
   guidelines that go along with being a part of the network.  It seems
   as though Zone2 wants to be able to do whatever they want and control
   the network as they please without allowing anyone else to have any
   voice in the rules....

    Agreed, Z2 = not a part of Fidonet.... Z3-6 can stay, as they
    don't seem to demand anyone change fidonet to suit their needs...

    To be honest, might be best to cut Z2 feed....
