   I have to take the approach of my boss, when someone gripes about the
way the government is being ran.... In this case, I gotta say if you
don't like the way Fidonet is being ran, why don't you just get out?

toilet?  What if I was to tell you that you must paint your living room
flourescent green with purple trim?  You might get upset.... But yet for
you to tell Thom how to run his service is for some reason o.k. by your
standards.

   May I remind you if it wouldn't be for Zone-1, there would be no
Fidonet in the first place.  Why do you think we are Zone-1?  I said it
before, and I'll say it again, drop zone-2 from the nodelist if they
have a problem following fidonet policy, and let them form their own
network.

  From what I've read, there originally was 2 services being ran.  No
one condomed either one.  Tom started his own service, and nearly
everyone switched to it.  If you find Tom's service so bad, write your
own software and start your own service.  Once you do, promote it and
get everyone to join your service.  What's so complicated?

-> Personally, the echolist, as it is run - with the total control left to a

   From what I heard, the individual that he changed the entry on was
changed because the individual claimed he was not a moderator and had no
moderator privilages in that echo.  What's wrong with changing incorrect
data?  He tried to get the guy who posted it to change it, if he
couldn't correct the information and the moderator was too lazy to do
it, then Tom might as well do it.... Beat's what I'd recommend of
dropping the entire echo from the backbone until accurate information
could be posted....

-> I think there should be a governing body within FidoNet to keep the echolist

   Can we have a governing body to keep Zone-2 honest?
