No special reason why he would though.  Looks like very probably I'm the only
person here in the echo who has been there.  Although it's one of the world's
biggest seaports, it's not that well known outside of Asia I suspect.

Oh I'd love to try that train ride!  Glad you mentioned the airport too since
seems some didnt even realize they have one.  Yes, they have one. I'm not sure
how big it is but it was on the little map they gave us so we could find our
way about the area.  About 10k from the ship's berthing and near a wooded
vacation spot is what my memory says about it though that may not be accurate
as it's been a few years since I was there.

Being in Vlad is a strange experience.  I mean, you know it's 'Russia' but it
feels a mix of cultures with heavy Asian influance.  At a place I stayed at,
outside the window, was a snake charmer.  The foods are a mix of what I think
is classic 'Russian' with an asiatic bent on many of them (called 'fusion
cookery).  I stuck mostly to the traditional russian things out of a desire to
try 'new to me' foods but they also had hambergers (ground beef type which I
mention only because in Asia and OZ, that can mean a 'Ham'-burger or a
'ground-pork'-burger).  Had a russian thing that's alot like a 'hot pocket'
(pastry filled with meats and things) that was totally wonderful.  I forget
their name for them now, but they are only lightly filled and the crust is
very buttery tasting.  Yummy!
