There's diabetes in my family, though *I* don't have it.  That's 
a really *terrible* disease -- not that *any* disease is OK.  It 
leads to so many miserable side-effects.

My sister died of the Spanish Flu following WWI.  She was two 
years old and in good health.  Then she and my mother both got 
the Spanish Flu.  My mother recovered (obviously since I'd not be 
here otherwise).

That's a good idea.  When I was in my late teens we all would go 
"tavern-hopping" which included a lot of fast car-driving.  
Amazingly we *never* had an accident.  Then when in the army I 
did my share of drinking -- as did most guys.  After leaving the 
Service I just lost interest in drinking.  A couple of years ago 
I had a glass of wine, so I'm not exactly an alcoholic ... heh 
heh heh ...

A couple of days ago I made my 455th loaf of bread in a Hitachi 
bread machine which I bought *long* ago ...
