Ärende: Meno Blom's charges
===========================
>>>> You said "he was a pervert by your standards, not by ours",
MvdV>>> The other way around. ;-)
>> No... -YOU- said "etc..."
>> It's a quote. ;>
MvdV> Ok, I missed that.
That happens.
>> Uh... -I- said: "kept his, uh, behavior, in his own country..."
>> By wacking off on live video to an what he thought was an
>> underage child -in this country-, and making an arangement to meet
MvdV> That's not illegal here, but that was not the point. Not the point
MvdV> I am making now. That point is, they had no business contacting him
MvdV> in the first place. What you describe only happened *after* the cop
MvdV> had made contact.
MvdV> They had no business contacting him in the first place.
Excuse me... but the cop didn't make contact... in such cases it is done by a
law enforcement officer hanging around in rooms where perverts and/or child
molesters are likely to go... there may be a profile associated with the screen
name that is designed to be "apealing" to the predators... the officers will
hang around in the room(s) talking the teen lingo and typing things that the
predator would likely associate with an easy target. They have these types
profiled pretty well... they know what gets their wagon wheels rolling. The
officer will keep on acting like a teen just waiting for some sorry
loooooooooooser piece of human scum to make contact with -them-... the officers
never make the first contact with any particular person or innitiate the "take
it private" request... that is done by the pervert and the cop just plays along
until the predictable happens... the pervert starts getting personal and
suggestive, saying all those things a teen wants to hear, and the cop
just "follows the lead" set by the pervert until the scumbag plays himself to
the final objective, meeting for sex, at which time the cop accepts the offer
made and bags the scum just as it should be.
Believe me... with the way criminals -do- walk on technicalities (it happens
alot more than people even realize) the cops make damn sure their I's are
dotted and their T's crossed in cases like this.
Rest assured that the cop didn't just see this guy, decide he was going to
target him, and say "hey mister, I'm 14, I love Dutch guys, and I love sex...
wanna meet?"
MvdV>>> Indeed, all that law enforcement should care about is "is it
MvdV>>> illegal?".
>> Yup... it is illegal to corrupt the morals of a minor in this
>> country.
MvdV> MB was not in your country when he did what you describe.
Wasn't he?
MvdV>>> And so it is very simple: what Menno Blom did while he was
MvdV>>> here was not illegal.
>> But it was!
MvdV> No, it was not. It can not be, he was not on US territory,
MvdV> therefore not subject to US law.
MvdV> 1
>> What he did in his own country as a point of
>> origin came via modern technology to the USA and the
MvdV> It came to the US because the cop downloaded the messages/ the
MvdV> video or whatever.
No... because he sent it LIVE across a feed that he knew was specificly
targeted for the USA.
>> destination was SPECIFICLY to the USA,
MvdV> Only bbecause the cop gave him hois e-mail addy/ box number or
MvdV> whatever. It was the cop's action that brought it to the US.
Hey... you give me the combination to the safe at your job, I use it and take
the money, because you said it's okay, even though you do not have the
authority too make that decision, then I didn't rob the safe?
>> and when it entered
>> this country it became a crime... now...
MvdV> Ah, so HERE we finally have the admission you ARE trying to impose
MvdV> your laws and morals outside your country.
No... to hell with anything to do with what happened in the Netherlands... like
I said, if he stayed in the Netherlands he would have been fine... he came here
with the intent to have sex with a 14 year old girl... he came HERE, of his own
free will, he commited a crime HERE, and was convivted because of it. The USA
can't impose ANYTHING on him in the Netherlands, but come HERE and you are
trying to impose your morals here, and trying to hide behind the fact it's
legal in your country... it doesn;t work that way.
MvdV> You can twist it around any way you like, but what he did was not
MvdV> against the law here.
But what he did HERE was against the law HERE... he should have stayed in the
Netherlands.
MvdV> What your LEA is doing is expand US law to cover all of
MvdV> cyberspace. Thereby effectively trying to impose your laws and
MvdV> morals world wide.
If he stayed in the Netherlands, then according to you he did nothing wrong...
but he -traveled-. Just because it started in cyberspace doesn't mean it
stayed there... was he in cyberspace when he tried to meet the 14 year old girl
of his wet dreams to have sex?
MvdV>>> Hence law enforcement (US or other) had no business
MvdV>>> sticking their nose in.
Of course they did... when somebody is attempting to commit a crime against a
minor citizen of our country, of course they did.
>> Not in the Netherlands... but, once he came here
MvdV> They had no business sticking their nose in in the first place.
Of course they did... he was trying to have sex with a 14 year old girl in our
country.
>> to further his pursuits that are illegal in this country they most
>> certainly did... we have a right to protect our children from
>> predators like him... his traveling here proves that very
>> point that there is an absolute NEED for such protection.
MvdV> Bullshit. It was your cop that set the chain of events in motion.
MvdV> Had that cop respected our laws and stayed out of it, nothing would
MvdV> have happened.
Absolutely not... the cop merely posed as a 14 year old girl... that perverted
freak was already in motion when thought he saw what he was
looking for.
MvdV> This "crime" was a fabrication. of US law enforcement.
MvdV>>> Now why is that so hard to understand?
>> Funny... I was going to ask you that very question!
MvdV> As I said before, I knew you would not understand.
As I said before... I think it is you who doesn't understand.
MvdV>>> You may not like that, but that is the law.
>> You may not like it, but traveling to the USA to have sex with
>> underaged children is against the law.
MvdV> Which would not have happened had your cop not violated our law to
MvdV> begin with.
Irrelevant... had it not been a cop, and it was a real 14 year old girl, would
that be okay??? Thank GOD he was caught before he could find a real one... in
my eyes, JOB WELL DONE by law enforcement.
MvdV>>> If parents of 14 year old teenagers don't want their daughters to
MvdV>>> chat with guys like Menno Blom, it is THEIR responsibility to keep
MvdV>>> them out of those chat rooms.
>> ABSOLUTE AND UTTER BULLSHIT!
MvdV> Not at all. Parental guidance is the responsibility of the parents.
MvdV> No government can and should take that away from them.
Guidance and responsibilty? Yea... but what are parents supposed to do? CHain
their children to their legs 24 hours a day?
>> If perverts can't stay away from what they know they're not
>> supposed to be after, then they deserve to be punished, severely.
>> Shielding children from scum doesn't make the world a better
>> or safer place...
MvdV> Sigh... You still don't get it do you.
Not the way you think... you make no sense at all.
>> eliminating the scum does a much better job of that.
MvdV> Menno Blom is not scum. Just a not too bright misguided young man.
He is absolute bottom of the barrel, lowlife, scum.
>> All this bullshit about "blame it on the parents"... that's the
>> biggest load of crap I've ever heard in many instances.
>> Hell, what can the parents do when they're working or on
>> other business?
MvdV> Maybe they should not be working on other business and spent some
MvdV> more time with their children?
Yep... shackle the children to your leg and drag them everywhere... maybe if
there wasn;t so much scum in the world the children wouldn;t need to be guarded
so closely.
Wait a minute!!!! I forgot!!! The Dutch have the solution... just so they don;t
look like bad parents they make it legal for their 12 year old girls to get
fucked hard without their permission... if they have no control over it, can;t
blame them for not supervising their kids now, can you?
MvdV> Or maybe when they think business is more important than their
MvdV> children they should not have children in the first place?
I think people in the Netherlands shouldn;t have children anymore... at least
not the smart or moral ones... and especially not girls, as your daughters
stand a good chance of being fucked hard at 12 years old wether the parents
consent or not.
>> Somehow shield the computer from their children? Most kids
>> these days would run circles around their parents when it
>> comes to those issues and get right around whatever steps
>> they took.
MvdV> Welcome to the 21th century...
And that's a good thing?
>> I'm sorry... that load of horseshit just doesn't cut it.
MvdV> I knew you would never understand. :-(
I often can't understand complete and utter bullshit... so you win that one.
