A sadness, but the folks cant afford vets and there may not be that many
of those dogs with real owners.

Yup.  Figured something like that.  I didnt travel far from the tourist
zone so saw less of that.

My first time was Sint Maartins (Dutch spelling) a little island in the
carribean (sp?).  They were not 'starving' but their homes showed lack
of money and many were mere wood huts with no water or power.

He should though.  He's not alone.  The 'in your face' tactic never
works to make friends and learn from one another.  Culturally, Americans
tend to be more 'direct' than most others and this, if taken too far,
can be considered 'rude' by many other cultures.

Well, been out for a bit now and headed back for a very short visit,
then out again.
