   Let's also take into account the fact that there are some long
distance services that charge you in 30sec increments, while others
charge in 5 second increments, and others charge you in 1 minute
increments.  Apparently his seems to charge in 1 hour increments?
;-) Good grief.  I on the other hand have Packet-8 for my phone
line, and it goes through my cable-modem, and for at least a few
months I'm paying $9.95 / month for unlimited long distance and
phone services.  I can pay another $2.25 I think it was and get a
phone number in another city, and the people in that city wouldn't
have to pay to call me.  I need to try and see if it supports
dial-up or not, I know I used to fax with voicepulse, though it was
so slow, due to quality that it backed it down to 300 baud or so....
 But after my promotions over, it goes up to 19.95 a month, still
cheaper than most phone services....  And you get all the free long
distance you can stand....

  All I can say is if you can't trust your NC/RC/etc to route mail
appropriately for you without deleting or editing, or viewing it
along the way.... You really need to drop out of the network, or
change to a new network that you can trust.  The arguement is about
like the folks at work that had a similiar discussion when they
needed to update the time, because someone forgot to clock in.
If you can't trust your manager to clock you in with the right time
than whose to day they won't change your time the moment you leave
and put you working 5 minutes that day?  Might as well just find
a place you can trust, and stop worrying with the lack of trust.
Unfortiantly, its why Fidonet Often has the most problems and fails
in so many situations, lack of trust.  Other networks has it,
Fidonet Lacks it.
