Excuse me?  It certainly did so ... moreso than you tuning up a few aircraft
engines.  What they did training likely saved hundreds and thousands of lives
by being prepared.  That you think that that training did not directly
contribute to the war effort is ludicrous.

Well you certainly have not given me any indication that you have done anything
important.  All I have heard is that *you* think what you did was more
important that what was truly more important.

And when were these combat troops relaxing exactly?  Seems to me they had to
spend a lot of times being shot at and blown up rather than relaxing and
playing card games.
