*Now* we'll see if Björn Forsström is half the man he claims!

For a long time he (and other Europeans) have claimed that the US 
hasn't done its fair share of "giving" to the rest of the world.  
He whined especially about the Tsunami which struck SE Asia a 
year or so ago.  I pointed out to him that the US Navy was the 
very first to give aid.  Björn simply ignored that.  In the Wall 
Street Journal edition of May 13, 2006, it is now revealed that 
the 2006 Index of Global Philanthropy, the "first comprehensive 
report on international aid by private institutions and 
individuals", shows that American aid -- governmental plus 
private -- dwarfs the aid given by any nation the world 
over.  And it is well-known that it is popularly thought that 
*government* aid is the only aid that counts.

So this brings up Björn again.  He has sneered at the efforts of 
the US.  Will he now be man enough to admit his error -- even, it 
is to be hoped (but not expected) to the extent of *apologizing*.

And, though I hate to bring this up, this is the same Björn 
Forsström who, when the Tsunami took place, had but one thought:  
He complained *bitterly* that now he'd have to change his 
vacation plans.  To hell with the fact that many, many thousands 
of Indonesians were killed in that tragedy.

So how about it, Björn?  Will you acknowledge this like the man 
you claim to be or, once more, simply run away, your tail between 
your legs???
