If that isn't deterrant enough, there is always the FBI warning about
making copies of copyrighted material on every VHS tape produced by
legitimate copyright owners and their publishers.

Technically it isn't here, but I've shared VHS tapes and DVDs with my
friends.

But that was the reason why you didn't have to pay more for your copy. Had
you paid the full price, you could make that extra copy for yourself.
