But these type of equality laws have gotten perverted in the past, its called
reverse discrimination.

The Office Products retailer where I work is called Office Depot, you may have
heard of them, we have operations in Europe. In my particular store, they
transferred our Store Manager to run another location, the Assistant Manager
has been running things for the past 3 months, he has over 25 years retail
experience, having operated a Kmart, and 10 of those years have been with us at
Office Depot. By all rights he should be promoted to run our location, but has
been led to believe that he wont get the position because he is /NOT/ black or
some other minority and is /NOT/ female. Apparently in our district, we dont
have "enough" minority or female store managers.. This guy stands to get passed
over for promotion because he is the wrong race or gender, since no other
assistant managers in the district appear ready for promotion but ours, they
will more than likely hire some newbie to the company less qualified to be our
store manager..

Thats FUCKED up Bjorn, real fucked up.

How do you rationalize the above?

It rarely happens over here, all I said is a proprietor has the right to deny
services, this is not to say "without" civil peril. But if I ran a hardware
store and a person walked in and refused to extinguish his lit cigarette or
cigar or is butt nekkid, I can refuse him. There is lots of criteria I could
use.

Dont tell me that it doesnt happen over there, why dont you try dining at one
of Stockhoms finest eating establishments wearing a tshirt or baggy jeans with
holes in the knees!

Saw a documentary the other night about "The Link", that bridge Sweden and
Norway built, seems to cost a pretty penny to use it, seems you all care alot
about money too!
