Nothing close like that here... would probably have to travel 120 miles or so
to the more densly populated areas surrounding NYC.

Why they have an advantage card of course.  Great way for the store to track
your purchasing habits and such.

Credit card or no, if you're not a "member" they make you fill out a
"membership application" to use actual checks.

Smaller grocery stores used to do it some years back, but most of them are now
gone, replaced by Price Chopper Super Centers, or Hannaford's... the smaller
grocery stores that remain shun checks, and tell you to get a debit card if you
wish to shop with other than a credit card or cash.

Yhey seem to be prefered customers... yet still have to be an advantage member
to do their thing.
