I would agree with that in general, but in this case, I'd make an exception. He
keeps on saying FidoNet would be better of without me, so I will gladly return
the courtesy.

O c'mon Carol, cant you see the *he* is the one playing games?

Can't you see is he is playing the same game he was playing - how long ago was
it? six month, a year ago - when he lost his region 10 number? Only this time
it is 100% a consequence of his own doing. I say let him suffer for while for
the consequences of his actions. He is one of those that loudly say: do the
crime, pay the time.

For years he has been throwing shit at people like me who advocate POTS
reachability for *C's. Antiquated technology, update you medieval software,
etc, etc. Claimed he didn't even have a modem any more. And now all of a sudden
he feels the need to contact some RC'c by POTS? Pulleeeze...

When did he ever give me or anyone else a breather? You get what you give...

A problem that he himself helped create. He now reaps what he sew. He locked me
out of his system and won the complaint over it. (supported by you BTW). I had
no need to contact him directly, he could be reached through his uplink was the
theory.

So what is he moaning now that he can not reach people directly? Why does he
expect people to be reached directly if he does not reciprocate? And maybe,
just maybe some of these people that he can not reach directly have
deliberately locked him out. Again what is he moaning? He did the same to
others and won the complaint over it.

What is he whining that Janis did not contact him directly? No need to contact
me directly he said, you can route via my uplink. He won the complaint over it.
Well, route via his uplink, is what Janis did, didn't she?

As for the IP bloc in Matt's router, does that not remind you of what happened
a bit over a year ago with me, David Drummond and Paul Sanders?And maybe a few
others? We were locked out of Shannon Talley's system on the accusation of
having performed "port scans". And Roy was riding right next to Shannon on the
bandwagon. They claimed they had proof of the port scans. But refused to share
the evidence of course.

in any case: in Roy's opinion it is fully justified for an RC to block out the
IP number of a fellow member of FidoNet. So what is he moaning now that he same
appears to have happened to him?

And contrary to Shannon, Matt was so accomodating to flush the cache....

Roy does not need help to get a new node number. What he needs is to eat a bit
of humble pie. Matt has told him in what net in R19 he can apply for a node
number. Even gave him a choice of two. Roy knows how to apply for a node
number. That is enough for anyone, and it should be enough for Roy.

But instead of simply applying for a node number Roy plays games with
non-existeNt node numbers. That should not be rewarded. So I will ignore him
until he writes from a listed node number. Either as a user or point or from a
new node number of his own.

And I still say everyone should do the same. He has had his fifteen minutes of
fame too many times over already..
