And you probably didn't need one until then. I bought one of the little
ones a while ago, a Toshiba P2 at 300MHz, which came with W98, but it had
W2k on it when I gave it to my son. He uses it both at home and at work.

Kinda like a TRaSh 80 then. That's what the IBM was that I gave away when
we moved.

CS> It;s in storage but i seem to recall the keyboard was separate.

I bought a newer laptop in San Antonio a few months ago. Made right here
in Texas by Dell. It has everything one could ask for in a laptop. It's
wireless, so I'm not tied to a desk and I take it on trips to access the
internet for email and even connect with this one to get fidonet. The only
problem I have with it is the built-in mouse. There's no wheel, no ball or
anything to help scroll the screen, so I bought an external mouse for it.

I never got used to the Apple stuff. I couldn't get used to the unix GUIs
either; once bitten by MS Windows, it's hard to adjust to something else
that doesn't look nor feel like it.

That was my contention when I bought my first one. Sometimes the picture
opportunity is lost by the time the digital cameras are ready to take the
picture. However, I have found that if you really want the picture, you
can snap it before the camera is ready and just hold the shutter button
and get it. The camera has already captured the image, it just needed to
setup the photo to look better according your pre-sets.
