I have some private thought which I would like to vent here:
 
1) On the members of his cabinet:

Hats-off to Colin Powel for the way he behaved as a team-player. When he was at
the UN's Security Council prior to the commencement of hostilities making the
power-point presentation with graphics of mobile chemical laboratories but not
offering a single photo nor a shred of evidence, then to the whole world his
body-language was giving the message: "What the fuck am I doing here?"  It was
obvious he was not believing the message himself, but he acted as a
team-player, something probably learned in the military. What's the value of a
team-player who does not believe in the team?
 
2) PhD's around the globe:

The three strongest supporters for Bush's Iraq-agenda seem to have been Tony
Blair, Silvio Berlusconi and Aznar.
 
Both Aznar and Berlusconi were voted out of office with one of the key elements
for this to happen their role of involving their country into the invasion of
Iraq. In both cases their successors' first act upon ascending to the office of
Prime Minister (Zapatero in Spain and Prodi in Italy) was to sign into law the
withdrawal of their forces from Iraq.
 
Blair isn't doing this. The signs however are obvious that he will not survive
another election and that the successor government's first action will be ...
to sign into law the withdrawal of British forces from Iraq.
 
It seems in these three countries the people have spoken ... or are about to.
 
3) Liberation of Iraq:
----------------------
Iraq has been liberated from Saddam Hussein and the Bath-party, credit is given
when credit is due and that certainly is an improvement.
However, what the invasion of Iraq has succeeded in is to turn a rather
moderate country into a hotbed of Islamic fundamentalism, the situation for
Iraqi women has been turned-back a couple of hundred years. There was no
terrorism in Iraq, now there is. Al Qaeda meant nothing in Iraq, now it is
prominently present.
 
It's nice to be liberated but from what ... and in exchange for what?
 
There's no way you can liberate a fish from water.
 
Please be reminded, this is my opinion. It is not fact, opinions never are, and
