Sure!  You may see some other the posts i made today that make it more
sensical. Umm, I had to show Don a few of the tricks but i was working 60
hours a week or more and he was a stay at home Dad just working for a chance
to get out of the house and a bit of beer money.

Yes, bit cheaper where I am but not unreasonably so.  The area I neede fixed
was about 200 sq foot.  4,000$ was a bit much.

Different elsewhere.  Don wont touch electrical work though.  Not only unsure
of it, just 'not done' where we are.

Grin, it's ok.  Don was just making 'beer money' and didnt work even 20 hours a
week most of the time.  He probably averaged 4 hours a week.  Most of what he
did was small stuff, folks just didnt *want* to bother to do themselves.

His current job is the MWR auto hobby shop. Lovely man, but he doesnt drive but
he works there helping folks fix their cars... Makes like 9$ an hour and he's
happy and gets his beer money <g>.

Smile, Don would get paid often enough with just a armload of fresh veggies and
jars of pickles, home done from the garden.

I remember one time.  He was working and i had to swing by to pick him up from
there to take him home.  Ended up showing the lady how to clean the fish tank
her husband had leftr her (70G tank, hadnt been cycled before adding the fish)
whilst Don cut the grass (she was probably 8 months gone with child and
husband at sea).  Had Charlotte with us so she kept her entertained then paid
us off with venison for the remaining hour or so.

Just curious, but how much would you charge to clean a fish tank and get it
cycling right if you knew how to do that?  Time spent about 1 hour.  Required
an old hose that is split already and largely useless except for cutting up to
the right size, and a big bucket.  Not the normal stuff you do of course, but
it's 'handyman' level stuff.
