The architects of the pyramids in Egypt were Freemasons.  And the
builders of those pyramids were the Jews.  Later, once the Jews had
finished the project in Egypt and had relocated in the Holy Land,
a new monument was needed.  So the Jews elected a king named Solomon,
who hired the Freemasons to design a Temple.  But that Temple was
later destroyed by the Babylonians, and the Jews taken captive.
However, the Jews soon returned to the Holy Land, and a few centuries
later elected a new king by the name of Herod, who hired the Freemasons
to design another Temple.  But that Temple was later destroyed by the
Romans.  You have to remember that Jews love to build things, but know
nothing about architecture or design. Today, the Jews have no Temple.
Only a few remnants of what might have been part of Herod's Temple.  But
that may soon change.  It all depends on if the Jews can find a Master
Freemason to design another Temple. And you know how secretive those
Freemasons can be...

National Geographic has it all wrong.  Pharoah hired Freemasons
to design the monuments.  Freemasons hired Jews to build the
monuments.  As for payment, Pharoah gave gems and other precious
stones to the Freemasons, and promised land to the Jews. Once the
project was completed, Pharoah reneged on the deal. That's when
Moses stepped in, telling Pharoah in no uncertain terms -

"LET MY PEOPLE GO TO THEIR PROMISED LAND!"
