how else do you expect it to be removed from other IFDC systems so that they
are not also in violation??

sure, a different name might have been used with the same description _and_ the
replaces verb specifying the proper/original filename... but then the "problem"
comes from the alternative filename being out of sequence in the listing on the
bbs' and whatever other places may display and/or create alphabetical lists of
their files...

hahaha... believe it or not, the IFDC has been around since back in the day
when US Robotics was a huge sponsor of fidonet... in fact, they were one of the
major sponsors of the IFDC, IIRC... IIRC2, IFDC distributed files also carried
an archive comment that spoke of USR being a sponsor... i won't mention that
USR also provided a sysop purchase program that allowed many fidonet sysops to
move fidonet traffic at high speeds as well as having many fidonet sysops
participating in their beta programs for their modem creations and speed
enhancements...

i know exactly what P4 states... i also know that P4 speaks of hats and
possible conflicts ;)

hate to say it but Z1 didn't invent that "tactic" ;)

who cares? we don't have anything stating when we'll hold our Z1C elections and
i don't recall janis making any statements about limiting her time in office
like you did ;)

why should i? in my book, janis is doing an admirable job as Z1C... sure, this
one situation may have been handled with a few additional steps that i outlined
in another message but overall, she's done a grand job... in fact, i've
increased my fidobucks donation to her Z1C retirement fund O8)

who said i was nervous about other zones? possibly it is you that i'm "nervous"
about having and retaining "too much" power... we've all seen, more than once,
how you've tried to fling it about (ie: fidonet.be, a PC filed by mvdv, your
removal from the IC chair) ;) O8)  so why shouldn't i/we be "nervous" about
you??
