My wife is catholic, she didn't know until I showed her, nor did her
mother who's Catholic bible we have in the library. (It's an heirloom, not
used as a reference here)

Ummmm, precursor or persecutor? If persecutor, Paul was that and more
before he was turned from the dark side.

I doubt that. Read the New Testement and get back to me on who traveled
throughout the Mediteranian region spreading the word more than Paul.

Which means that mine is more open to knowledge than yours.

The US was founded by xtians, yet no other religion or non-religious
people have been persecuted here. (by the government)

But Islam is bigger.

Which is why they're not welcome in the middle east, haven't been ever
since they invaded Canaan and murdered men, women and children in the area
known today as Isreal. If God ordered that, then God isn't what he's
cracked up to be by Catholics or any other religion. In that case, God is
not love.

You mean the people who gain power use religion as an excuse to murder
others. Every religion I've ever studied makes a point of teaching just
the opposite.
