 Spreading it far and wide, staying in one place and planting it
 deeply. Both are necessary.

 That was, "If they followed their religion". IOW, they have no
 reluctance in claiming God's favor in killing people. At least
 some prominent ones, like Jerry Falwell.

 Christians founded this country, but, most of the time,
 Christianity was not in control of this country. Where is was,
 well, ask the Indians about religious persecution.

 Not really. Just recently it grew slightly bigger, but in the
 days of it's active persecution, it wasn't. Until maybe 10 years
 ago the Catholic church was larger than all Islamic sects
 combined. As it is, the Catholic church is still larger than any
 individual Islamic sect.

 True. That is why I do not accept that story as accurate.

 Religion teaches the opposite. The religious leaders don't seem
 to always follow the teachings of the religion. Never when they
 hold power. Not for long.
