JS>>>>> Me thinks you mean Hector Santos?
 RW>>>> That's him.
JS>>>>> Years ago Wildcat BBS software was owned by Jim Harrer

I knew that.

JS>>>>> As I recall Wildcat5 was the current release at the time and
 JS>>>>> soon became Winserver.
RW>>>> Still while being owned by Mustang...
 JS>>> Ahh... Yup.
JS>>>>> Wildcat BBS was my first store bought BBS software in the

RW>>>> I tried some of those shareware BBS packages and found them

RW>>>> v4.0 when it was offered. V4.0 was the first windows compatable
 RW>>>> version.
JS>>> I have (Around here somewhere) Wildcat 4.2 which is the last

JS>>> Yes.... The good ole days. <g>
RW>> I'm glad I never got WC3.9 to work with Fidonet messaging back then.
RW>> Keeping a BBS was beginning to affect my working hours and I was

JS> I ran Wildcat prior to joining Fidonet. At one time I had five

JS> <g> In fact I remember several other local (To me) BBS's that had 12+

Yes, there were those mulit-line BBSs in San Diego too. There's a small
magazine still printed that used to have 3 pages of BBSs listed. It was
called ComputerEdge and is now printed in the Denver area as well. Always
a great source of information on the latest in computers, PCs, Macs and
back then, some of the others like Texas Instruments. San Diego had so
manyu computer stores, the competition drove the prices of computers to
minimal prices. Anyway, I still have around here somewhere, ComputerEdge
Vol 1, Issue 1 ... I used it to dial into SD from Poway (LD) with a 300
baud modem to the BBSs listed in that magazine. This was B4F, Before
Fidonet existed, c1981-2.
