Really? I've only had a few times where it went haywire on me.

That's your first mistake. Never press anything. I start by scanning my
first item. Works everytime.

Wrong. You start by holding the barcode in mid-air at a 45 degree angle
between the verticle and horizontal glass. Works everytime.

Hmmm. They mispelled drop. There's a sensor on the bag hanger. It detects
a difference in the weight of the bag.

This is how they're set up at Home Depot and Wal-Mart.

$1 rental kiosk? There used to be one of those at the H.E.B. store here.
You may already know that HEB is a local Texas supermarket. Don't know
what happened to it, it just disappeared from the lobby one day. There's a
Wharehouse that rents them close to the house, but they wouldn't take my
California ID when we first moved here, so we go across town to the
Hollywood rental store.
