LL> Hello Wayne,

WC>government semantics only.
WC>You pay in for that purpose, you're entitled to it in my view.
WC>It's a contract.

Perhaps mostly black but far from exclusively so.
Back in the day back at the biker bar there was this one white girl
I only saw pregnant through some four of the five prenancies she'd underwent.
Wait, withddrawn, I did see her once not pregnant and remarked upon that.
She openly stated she kept getting pregnant to increase the AFDC and other
_perks_
of the maximum number of children.
WC>You wouldn't believe the overtime hours I put in and how that was reflected

LL> That was stupid, given that had you continued paying the higher tax

No Lee it's a great deal worse than that.
They go back five years to calculate that figure to arrive
at your eligibilty.
After Precisonaire moved out of town I took a job at half
the rate driving and delivering products at 1/2 what I'd been receiving as a
printer.
Still with with the vastly improved work environment ( boss on other side of
state)
and me simply left to my job that was cool.
Then I got fired for not doing show jobos where management would imbibe in
large
amounts of cocaine at parties.
only came up couple of times a year and it was supposed to be a perk with free
booze,
drugs and free meals.
I wasn't interested in that.
So feeling like crap being briefly unemployed I took an interrum job as a
stock clerk
working for a kid.
Now slashed to under 1/2 of a single weeks' take home for a months work
as a printer a I'd just moved up to a better job doing delivery and setup
of commercial grade exercise equipment when I got my spine broken for me the
first
time.
End result 1/2 of what I'd have been entitled to if I'd moved to Bartow
with Precisionaire.
Though they did fire most employees they took with them as I knew they would
once they'd trained their own replacements.
OTOH two years after the move they came looking for me with a pay raise offer
and once again hiring me with full perks and benefits.
Still on the whole and not wanting the toxic work environment I turned it
down.
Shortly thereafter the plant manager suicided on Christams eve
as such was the _wonderful_ work envirnment there.
Then gustavo Hernandez owner sold it to Flanders corporation.
I suspect this had been in the wind when they approached me as I'd gotten
the the Walmart account for them previously and I'm guessing they wanted top
bid from Flanders
corp.
Three lesser jobs after Precisionaire due to my adversity to on the job BS
factors
and attendent stress cost me about 400 dollars a month ballpark of
what I'd have otherwise gotten.

>WC>Yes under my circumstances I can draw the SSI, I just elected not to.
>LL>Better to apply for "extra help" with SSDI.
WC>Got jammed up unfortunately due to my stubborness on this point.
WC>Landlady just went up 235 dollars on the rent in one shot.
LL> At that price, it would be cheaper for you to buy some land and build
LL> on that property. All you'd have to do is come up with enough for a
LL> downpayment on some rural property, and then get a grant from Uncle Sam
LL> to build a house/cabin/whatever.
Some things, well most, are now outside of my current physical abilties.
WC>Strange lady.
WC>As she tells it everyone "uses and takes advantage of her."
WC>Except ask her about her Ducati story and how she got revenge on
WC>someone who "screwed her over."
LL> Why do some folks complain about those who receive SSDI or SSI?
LL> It is a deal between the individual and Uncle Sam. As a society,
LL> most folks are supportive of the social security program, being
LL> that it is a social insurance program. But some folks want to
LL> turn it into an annuity program, which would benefit the wealthy
LL> most of all.
WC>See she borrowed the bike swamping it sucking salt water into the engine
WC>damaging it.
WC>Then years later the guy that lent it to her "screwed her over."
WC>Well she got even by her account, she ruined his Ducati years before she
was
WC>"screwed over" by him.
WC>That'll teach him to mess with her!!!
WC>Landlady behaves in a way to assure people get even with her then she
claims
WC>be the innocent and injured party.
WC>Seems a nice enough lady superficially but geez louise keep her at arms
leng
WC>Tried to help her and was met by "don't be bothered it's useless, I won't
WC>listen."
WC>What do you do with people like this?
LL> Be nice. Smile. Tell them to "have a nice day." They hate that. ;)
Did that today along with my current best rent increase offer.
After having disuaded me from my suggestion 2 years ago that I apply for
section 8 housing which pragmatically with the then living Pit Bull in tow
she's now changed her mind about sectipon 8 housing and moved a bunch of
serious housing
project types into the upstairs apartment.
Fortunately the most unpleasant of them who mugged the other then tenant
and stole her purse as well as was dealing crack cocaine out of here
had the good graces to get himself blown away over a neighborhood territorial
dispute between his former residence which was either Childs Park or the
Bethel Heights housing project which had been torn down by the city for chronic
crime,
drugs and violence years ago.
Kids will be kids the little rascals.
Amazing what can be gleaned from newspaper archives by a bedridden
cripple when the remaining good kids brought theor cars with RIP we love you
Pnut
all over their cars when they morne his loss by having a crack party outside of
my window.
Up it popped in the Saint Petersburg times obituaries on a serach for Pnut".
Came to Saint Petersburg from Jacksonville Florida.
Active in the church youth group.
Atttended Saint Petersburg H.S. and awarded a scholorship to a school
in Daytona.
Died of natural causes ( 9mm bullet hole to the head) at the advanced age of
18.
The followup story with his mother featured was about good kids with just a
frug
bust and joy riding conviction being gunned down for the terrible crime
of being from the wrong project on the wrong side of U.S. 19 south or what
they say in the article the kids refer to as the "trey4" whatever the heck that
is supposed
to be when it's in town.
Real name Forbes Swisher.
Oh yeah the landlady accepted my latest offer of an additiopnal 100 dollars
a month in what only can be described as something less than graciously.
Well it can but nevermind that.
I get to stay and hang with the good kids
Oh boy thrice blessed am I.
WC>Just now heard on TV a politician talking about Iraq and the old "when the
WC>Iraqis stand up., we'll stand down" sound bite.
WC>Why does anyone fall for this insanity?
WC>How stupid are people anyway?
LL> It's the Ozzie and Harriet television show of the 1950's all over
LL> again.
I think perhaps you recall that show somewhat diffeently
than do I???
