Article II, Section 1,

"(In case of the removal of the President from office, or of his Death,
Resignation, or Inability to discharge the Powers and Duties of the said
Office, the Same shall devolve on the Vice President, " (continued below)

Note that the first choice is that the Powers and Duties of the President
goto (that's what the word Devolve mean) the Vice President in the case of
the stated reasons above. It also is within the realm and power of the
Congress to pass legislation (aka Law) that deals with the situation (see
next).

Article II, Section 1, (continued)

Removal, Death, Resignation" etc..

Which they've already done by specifying that the Speaker of the House be
the next in line after the President and the Vice President.

No, you merely corrected what you should have said in the first place.

Sorry to inform you that you're in error again. It's true that FDR was
elected President in 1944. It is also true that Truman was elected to the
office of Vice President in 1944 and as a Senator from Missouri before
that; thus your statement that Truman was not elected before 1948 a false
statement.

But that wasn't your first statement. That is merely a correction of what
you should have stated, had you been as inteligent as you think you are.

I don't disagree with that statement.

It's true that he was elected President in 1948, but he was already the
sitting President. That makes him a re-elected President in 1949.
