Hmmmm. I was a living in a little city then and a dude was the guy
standing outside the pizza shop/card parlor. And probably those within. 40
years ago I moved to the big city, but there weren't any dudes in the area
I lived in.

Especially in light of the fact that he corrected my spelling and made a
mistake of his own in the same message.
