     No, not in other words. In the words that I used. We all have our
opinions. Moderators and editors are no different. It isn't that moderators
shouldn't have opinions. It IS that they should not let those opinions
and personal views affect their duties as moderator. That is why it is
better if people in the echo being moderated are not able tell what the
moderator's personal view is. I think that it is more important for the
moderator to avoid letting his/her personal views affect their duties as
moderator than it is for the users to be aware of what those views might
be. Hypothetically, if people are aware that a moderator has a dislike
or even hatred of people of a particular religion or country but those
same people also see that the moderator is not letting that dislike or
hatred affect his/her moderation they are more likely to respect that
person as a moderator and be willing to abide by his/her moderation's.
But (Also hypothetacally) if that moderator openly attacks people in the
same echo that he/she moderates and also openly expresses his/her hatred
or dislike of people of particular religons or countries then that is
wrong IMHO.

     Anyone that has the time and interest and wishes to research can
pretty much find out whatever they want. As we have seen right here in
this echo there are those people that will look back in this and other
echos and use statements made by the moderator against him. That is why
it is important that the moderator uses care in the expression of their
opinion.
