At what expense?  It cost the U.S. 3,000 dead soldiers to bring Saddam

Same with many other dictators.

According to Iraq it was a fair trial.
According to Bush it was a fair trial.
So where's the problem?

The Nuremberg Trials were not perfect.
The Tokyo Trials were not perfect.
Even the trial of Slobo Milosevic was not perfect.

Perfection is not what a trial is all about.

It would have been far less expensive to have tried Saddam on lesser
charges and sentenced him to life in prison without benefit of parole.

At what cost?  The U.S. lost 3,000 soldiers in order to bring Saddam to
justice.  Was it worth it?  Bush says so.

It would be wishful thinking that Bush would bring our soldiers home
from Iraq before his term in office ends.  As such, the American people
are looking forward to electing a new president in 2008, one who *will*
bring our soldiers home - in one piece, rather than in body bags.
