I advocate moderation in all things.

To quote a great American  and noted supporter of the right to freedom of
speech in the great American tradition:

Ebonic Hurricanes.....I was wondering when this was coming.

Well, it appears our African-American friends have found something else to
complain about. A black Congresswoman, Sheila Jackson Lee of Houston, Texas,
reportedly complained that the names of hurricanes are all Caucasian-sounding
names.

I've been a mod for that long as well. I've only sanctioned one user, a
moderator who thought he could use other echos to fight the battles outside his
echo.

Roy Witt:
No one wants to take that right away, either. We're just saying that the rule
is a bad one.

Roy Witt:
I believe there's more than just the three of us.

Roy Witt:
Hopefully your aren't one of those moderators who cuts a feed for something
said in netmail too.

Roy Witt:
Pete speaks from experience in the matter, as do I and Jamison. Any moderator
who makes such a rule, isn't what we consider to be the best of moderator
material. There must be a better way.

Now to find out how international and enlightened fidonet really is.

Before I am banished from zone 2 could someone show me around here? Some local
weather radar URLs or web cams?

As a disabled man and former biker with a considerable disdain for authority 
figures I've shown a remarkable dislike
for those thin skinned wussys who think they are all powerful fido-gods.

There are ways to approach a biker. Dictating to them is not one of them.

Now than, down to brass tacks as I used to say.

It feels like I'm operating in the Windows operating   system environmment
having to reboot to Knoppix Live CD to gain access to Eterm in that release.

This necessitated by the disabilties I endure making operation difficult in
other interfaces.

Is OK, takes five to make black coffee anyhow.

Zone oners, can I recommend to you Doc's Place BBS at telnet

Or perhaps the active html login at the same http address?

As per my aforementioned difficulty with fidonet authority figures I've become
persona non-grat at Ed's fine and disabled user friendly BBS.

Ed Koon has been most generous and tolerant of the disabled over the years and
I
wish to express to him my gratitude.



I was cautioned by the sysop at the Circle of Protection in zone 2 to take it
easy
on my fellow Americans

I await clarification or qualification to enhance my undersytanding of our
gentlemen's agreement.

As I text here to you from zone two may I point out that while fidonet has
never had the pretense  of being a democracy that if one individual's  freedom
is taken away the freedoms of all are at risk.

I hope you all give somber consideration and reflect upon this and the sanctity
of the United States Constitution.
A most revered docment by this poor and pathetic soul.

Addendum:

Well I find this to be true of a great many things but we believers and
followers
